Edible Books Fest 2019

Calling all bookworms and bakers! The Public Library of New London is holding an Edible Books Festival on April 6th, and we need YOU to help!

We’re looking for individuals, or you can work in teams of 2-4 people, to submit “edible books”. What is an edible book, you ask? It’s a creative representation of a book that is made primarily of edible materials — submissions can look like a book, be a play on words using the title, or otherwise represent the book in shape or content. No cooking experience is necessary, only creativity and imagination!

Event will include a showing and judging of the creations (open to the public) from 12-2:30pm , followed by an award ceremony with prizes for the best and most creative pieces! Submissions may be dropped off no earlier than 11:00am the day of the event.

You must register by Friday April 5th, and complete an entry form, which can be found online at https://bit.ly/1THF1jE, or in person at the Reference desk. For more information, contact Cassie Skobrak at cskobrak@plnl.org, or call (860) 447-1411 x5.
