Invasive Plants: An Introduction

Wednesday, August 15th from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM UConn Master Gardener Susan H Munger will teach us to recognize the most common invasive plants in Southeastern Connecticut.

You might be surprised at how many invasive plants species are in our own backyards. The program will cover this, and will also touch briefly on native plants and soils. Handouts and a list of resources for further information will be provided.

The program is being offered through the City of New London SustainableCT team, and is free and open to the public.

Instructor: Susan H. Munger served for ten years as the UConn Master Gardener Coordinator for New London County in the Norwich Extension Center. She battles invasives and plants natives in her own garden. She is the author of Common To This Country: Botanical Discoveries of Lewis & Clark and is a member of the New London sustainability team.
