Project ASPIRE
In the fall of 2005, the Public Library of New London recognized a need for enrichment programs for school-aged children. Through grant funding, the Public Library of New London initiated a new after school initiative called Project ASPIRE (After School Programs In Reaching Excellence). During the past few years, hundreds of New London school children have participated in this program. These programs have been made possible through the generous support of grants from Pfizer, Liberty Bank, Dime Bank, Dominion, Office Depot and Target.
